Account and license
Shelzo’s public beta is free until 1 Oct 2026. No Shelzo account is required during the beta; engine subscriptions and sign-ins stay separate.
Sign in from the app
- Open Settings › Account and choose Sign in or create an account.
- Complete sign-in or account creation in the browser opened by Shelzo.
- Choose Connect on the website to authorize the app. Return to Shelzo and check the account status.
Starting from the app links the browser authorization to that Mac’s waiting sign-in request. Signing in to the website alone does not sign in the app.
Activate a license key
- Find the key in your purchase email.
- In Settings › Account, paste it into Enter license key and choose Activate.
- Check for Licensed on this Mac. A standard license key can activate up to three Macs.
A key can activate the app without a Shelzo account. Account access and key activation are shown separately. Use Validate now to refresh a key’s status while connected.
Deactivate a Mac
- On the Mac you want to remove, open Settings › Account.
- Choose Deactivate this Mac, then confirm with Deactivate this Mac?.
- After deactivation succeeds, activate the key on your other Mac. Signing out of an account does not deactivate a separately activated key.
If access expires, existing chats remain available to read. Sign in with an entitled account or restore your license to start or continue sessions.
If it fails
If browser authorization expires, start sign-in again from the app. For an activation-limit message, deactivate a Mac using that key before retrying. Check the key against your purchase email and read any inline error. “License activation is unavailable in this build” means the build lacks activation configuration. Use Help › Send Feedback…, when available, for unresolved account problems; do not include your full key.
